Supernatural Science?
Dear Phyllis,
I have tried to answer your question in the most basic way I could come up with. This is my reply. Scientific research comes from the idea that anything that happens in the world stems from the laws of nature and it is obvious that this links to the actions of humans. Because of this idea, a research scientist would almost never believe that an event in the world was caused by some supernatural monster.
But honestly , our idea of scientific research has many flaws so some part of this idea is mostly based in our faith of not believing in such monsters, and our understanding of the world. This faith has worked for us and seems to be working onwards, judging from the success in scientific research.
On the other hand though, anyone who goes deep enough down the rabbit hole of science, becomes convinced that spirits are apart of the law of the Universe, a spirit that is far higher than anything of a man. This sprit humbles us and we must feel modest in front of it. Science leads us a to a religious mindset in some way but very different than those who are religious but not familiar with science.
I hope I could answer your question!
Best Wishes
Yours,
Albert Einstein
