As life has evolved, every aspect of human life has evolved  with it  - almost nothing has  been left behind . With that, our reliance on these modern aspects of life has increased.  This   in   turn  follows one of the most basic functions humans should rely on.  Memory.  Our minds are brilliant photographers who capture the earth for what is is  but  in the passing generations we don't seem to consider that anymore. Anywhere you go, everyone's phones are out  clicking  picture after picture  trying  to get the perfect shot and angle to post on their social  media,  or  just  take to admire in the near future.  But  what  many don't realize  is  that at some  point  we forget about what's  actually  in front of us and instead focus on preserving it forever.  By not looking at whats in front of us with what nature has given  us  we lo...

Everything Is Connected

We are currently in the 6th mass extinction. It's crazy, we are all gonna die someday, and sometime in the far far far away future we're gonna cease to exist at all. But the reality for many animals and species on planet earth right now is that they are gonna cease to exist in the near near near future. Of the 200 breeds of domesticated animals that have been identified in North America, 80% of them are either declining or are currently facing extinction. 80%. That's a big number which means about 160 species are declining. It is hard to swallow that type of information. The biggest reasons for that are because of ..... HUMANS. Obviously.  Habitat destruction, climate change, and over-harvesting are just a few reasons as to why all these species are going extinct, but many people know this already. The underlying effects of these extinctions are what many people are not aware of.  What happens when these species start disappearing from their respective ecosystems? These ani...

Connecting with Nature

Quote: "Sometimes we forget that nature also means us. Termites build mounds; we build cities. All of our being- juices, flesh, spirit - is nature." Humanity has evolved in so many ways and we have created an artificial world where we find comfort in such as buildings, factories, technology, vehicles, etc. While there is nothing wrong with this and we are just simply living with life's luxuries we tend to forget that though we feel we are not in tune with nature, nature is interconnected with our life and instead of repenting this idea we have to welcome nature and its gifts. After all, we take as much advantage as we can to exploit our Earth's resources and don't care about the hurt we do to it.  When examining the quote, termites and humans don't seem to have any similarities but when considering it further, termites like humans build their environment based on their specific needs by destroying the wood and their natural environment around them, but it is a...
