Time Travel
The idea of Time Travel is fascinating. The idea is that one is given the power to go back to the past and relive their most precious or saddest moments. Time Travel is very popular in our culture today and in fact, I recently finished a Kdrama, A Time Called You, that is based heavily on this idea of Time Travel. It got me thinking about all the significant actions that make up our past and lead to our future. And who should have the right to change our future? No one. It's just wrong. Is it? What if it was to stop the Titanic, prevent millions from dying, and prevent a million more from mourning their loved ones? Is it OK then? Is it ethical? No one knows the underlying effects of preventing the Titanic. We would've never seen the Titanic, though that is a small effect, there are probably many more that would change the world and how it is perceived. Who is telling what is right and wrong? It is all subjective. So if one has the chance should they change tragic but important events throughout history? We wouldn't even know it, maybe the Time Travelers would, but we would never know, and we would continue with our very different lives, never knowing there was an entirely different dimension where we had different lives, different experiences, and different perspectives.
What is right and wrong? This has been debated for years and years and there has never been a clear answer. I don't think there will ever be an answer to this question, which makes it much more complex, sometimes it's obvious and other times the line between right and wrong is so blurry you can't even tell which is which. Right and wrong is different for everybody.
I found your blog very interesting, especially how you tied in a fantasy-type topic into a conflict of morality within a person.
